What is the difference between a regular trail ride and private ride?

Regular trail rides will continue to book people outside of your party until all the slots are full. We also have a number of people who board their horses at our farm who often times will tag along.

Private rides restrict anyone from outside of your party to book or tag along. If you’re looking for an intimate or tailored experience, a private ride is for you. You can request more trotting/loping with your trail guide but make sure you let her know at booking what you want so she can plan ahead. Some of our horses lope/trot better than others. We try our best to accomodate these requests but not guaranteed. Weather and trail conditions play a role in how fast we can safely ride.

Do I need experience to go on a trailride?

No, but it would probably be more enjoyable if you know how to ride, or take a lesson first. We take many first timers on the trail – most do fine, some are clutching their pearls the entire time. Use your best judgement before committing to an hour in the woods on a horse.
